Welcome to the Bishop Kelley English Department!
The English Department at Bishop Kelley consists of ten faculty; the majority have a master’s degree or above and an average of ten years or more of experience. We provide three levels of curriculum (e.g. 9, 9A, and 9 Honors) all four years. During junior and senior year, students can enroll in our two AP classes: AP Language and Composition and AP Literature. All teachers provide a curriculum that includes academic vocabulary study and rigorous writing. Students will be encouraged to participate in discussions, projects, and research involving contemporary topics, classical literature (such as the Odyssey), and modern works. Summer reading is a requirement for all classes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
