Stock Market Gains Can Benefit Bishop Kelley Students

Gains in the stock market, whether recent or long-term, offer an opportunity to many Bishop Kelley High School constituents.  Utilizing appreciated stock provides investors a vehicle to receive tax benefits in 2017.  Transferring appreciated stock to Bishop Kelley for charitable purposes permits the donor to avoid capital gains taxes as well as receive a deduction on their federal tax return. 

All 2017 BK National Merit Finalists Win Scholarships

Eight of the nine Bishop Kelley National Merit finalists are winners of college-sponsored scholarships. They are eight of only 46 Tulsa-area finalists whose universities are honoring their scholarship. The students are as follows:

 

Bishop Kelley Wins Fourth Consecutive Academic Bowl State Championship

In a staggering series of high-scoring matches, the Bishop Kelley Academic Bowl team took home the 5A state championship trophy. This marks the fourth consecutive state championship for the team as well as the fifth state win in the past six years.

 

Baseball diamond dedicated; Season underway

School President Rev. Brian O’Brien blessed BK’s first-ever artificial turf for baseball on Jan. 20. Donors, alumni, parents, student-athletes and coaches attended the field dedication where artificial turf was installed on about 32,000 square feet of infield.
