Competitive Speech, Drama and Debate
Bishop Kelley’s Speech, Drama and Debate program is among the best in Oklahoma. Since 2015, Bishop Kelley teams have won 10 State Titles, 20 straight Regional Tournaments, and 5 Academic State Champion awards (highest GPA).
Participation in the speech and debate program can lead to involvement with the National Forensic League, an educational honor society founded in 1925. Participation in the National Forensic League encourages and motivates high school students to participate and become proficient in the forensic arts: debate, public speaking and interpretation.
BK's Speech and Debate team has earned a prestigious recognition from the National Speech and Debate Association. Because the chapter achieved 100 or more Degrees of Merit or Degrees of Premier Distinction in the past year, they ranked among the top 23% of schools nationwide and earned membership in the Assocation's prestigious 100 Club. Congratulations to our Speech and Debate team on this remarkable achievement!
