Safety Upgrades at Bishop Kelley Need Community Funding Assistance

(photo above: Safety laminate was recently installed in the entrance to the Main buiilding.  In order to secure all entrances/exits with laminate, BK will need to reach its $500,000 annual fund goal.)

Raising $500,000 during a school year for security upgrades as well as tuition assistance for low income families is a challenge; but in light of school shootings that have occurred in Texas, Florida and Kentucky as well as other states, the Bishop Kelley Administration and Board of Directors feel it's the right direction for Bishop Kelley students.  In the first five months of 2018 alone, there have been 22 fatal school shootings. That averages out to one per week.

To install laminate on glass doors and window panels surrounding entrances and to install a Lobby Guard system that will provide BK with an instant background check on all visitors, gifts to Believe in Kelley are needed from the entire Bishop Kelley community (current and past parents, grandparents, alumni, and other friends of the school) as we strive to make our campus as safe as possible for students, faculty, and staff.

As of May 15, 2018, $308,000 has been gifted by several hundred donors since the latest Believe in Kelley campaign kicked off July 1, 2017. With the end of the campaign quickly approaching June 30th, we've only reached 61.6% of our goal and desperately need your help.
