ACT Intensive Review

This course is a 10 hour instructional course designed to prepare students for the ACT.  The course includes instruction and content review in all subject areas tested on the ACT as well as helpful tips and testing information.  Students will have homework between sessions and will leave class with strategies and problems to continue to practice on their own.  Enrollment will be capped at 25 students.

Instructors: Megan (Schaunaman) Neely (Math/Science) and Charlotte McGuire (English/Reading)

Cost: $160 for Bishop Kelley Students, $320* for non-Bishop Kelley Students  (Registration fee includes book, “The Official ACT Prep Guide”, and all materials.)

ACT Advanced Math Review

This course is a 6 hour instructional course designed for students wanting to improve their math scores.  This course is designed for students who have a solid grasp of basic math content and want additional review and practice on more complex math topics found on the ACT.  Topics will include but are not limited to: functions, matrices, advanced statistics and probability, vectors, conic sections, trigonometry, logarithms, and more.  Students will leave each class with homework to complete before the next session.  Enrollment is limited.

Cost: $200* (includes Kaplan: ACT Advanced Practice: Prep for 36)

ACT Science Review 

This course is a 2.5 hour instructional course designed for students wanting to improve their science scores.  Students will learn tips and tricks to get through the science section faster while improving their accuracy on the test. Additionally, students will learn how to interpret scientific graphs and charts and apply sound reasoning techniques to reading passages on the science test.  Finally, students will practice various types of passages that occur frequently on the test. This class is offered two different days. Students will review the same strategies both days but with different passages and practice material. Students may attend one or both sessions.

Cost: $75* for one day or $100 for both days

All classes will meet at Bishop Kelley High School in the MQP Building (Registrar and Counseling Building). Exact classroom locations will be emailed prior to the first class. 


Mrs. Megan (Schaunaman) Neely (Math/Science)

Megan Neely was a National Merit Scholar in high school and scored a perfect 36 on the Math, Science, and Reading portions of the ACT.  At The University of Oklahoma, she was named the Outstanding Senior Woman in 2004-2005 and has been teaching and tutoring the ACT, SAT, and PSAT ever since.  In the last 11 years, she has taught over 165 National Merit Finalists, Semifinalists, and Commended Scholars.

Mrs. Charlotte McGuire (Reading/English)

Charlotte McGuire is a Bishop Kelley English teacher with over 15 years of classroom and private tutoring experience teaching the ACT, PSAT, and SAT.  Her average improvement on the English test is 5 points.
